She’ll be performing with local and international artists on the 18th
SD. Milly Quezada is very enthusiastic about her participation in the “A song of hope for Haiti” concert on the 18th of the current month at Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium, an event in which she’ll share the stage with Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, Johnny Ventura, Maridalia Hernandez, Miguel Bose and Luis Fonsi. This initiative by Juan Luis Guerra and the ‘Sur Futuro Foundation’, sponsored by an international phone services company, seeks to gather funds for the construction of a children’s hospital in Haiti. “I’m grateful that Juan Luis extended the invitation. I’ve been paying good attention to the Haitian tragedy and I’ve participated in other international events. This gesture of building a hospital is wonderful”, the artist said.
Milly praised that Guerra also brought in Johnny Ventura and Maridalia Hernandez. “It’s a nice gesture on his part.” Given that it’s about a show in which she’ll perform along with many artists, she’ll bring a good proposal for the occasion. “I plan to condense my biggest hits from the past few years. It will be something current and we’ll be accompanied by Juan Luis Guerra’s band.” Her new record, a romantic one: The vocalist keeps busy on scene. In the first months of this year she was acknowledged in New York City for her work in an initiative by a women’s entity that work in Big Apple. Currently she’s planning her next album which will be the 30th of her career. “This new record will be romantic based on bolero, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of making a merengue record, although I’m more focused on finishing it because we’ve wanted to do it for a long time” Milly Quezada said that the song selection is almost ready. “I hope to fill the expectations of many people that recall a period of our career path on stage. In each stage that I go to, it’s normal that that ask me to sing those songs”, she said. Source: Diario Libre. |
