SD. ‘Sur Futuro Foundation’ president Melba Segura Grullon and renowned Dominican artist Juan Luis Guerra thanked ‘Orange Dominicana’ for asuming the role of main sponsor for the ”A song of hope for Haiti” concert to be held at the Olympic Stadium on April 18th.

They expressed themselves so during a press conference held at the foundation’s facilities, where both Orange president Jean Marc Harion and Haitian ambassador to the Dominican Republic Fritz Cineas were in attendance.

Likewise they thanked these artists, Alejandro Sanz, Juanes, Miguel Bose, Enrique Iglesias, Luis Fonsi, Milly Quezada and Johnny Ventura, for accepting the call to be the cast of the show that intends to raise funds for the construction of a children’s hospital in Haiti.

“Once more, the Sur Futuro Foundation and the Juan Luis Guerra Foundation work to bring hope to those that need the most. Today our effort is directed towards building a children’s hospital in Haiti. And we call out to the Dominican people to join us in this initiative”, said Melba Segura Grullon.

The mentor of the 4-40 group commented that having established the need to build a hospital, he got in touch with his friends, who immediately expressed their support. “I expect the solidarity of the Dominican people for this event”, Juan Luis said.

When taking the floor, Haitian ambassador to the DR Fritz Cineas said that the Haitian nation had no way of paying the support received from the Dominican Republic after the earthquake.

And during his intervention, the president of Orange mentioned that right after the tragedy occurred, the company assumed the commitment to support the country through multiple actions around the world, pointing out that the artistic proposal will be extraordinary.
