The Haitian AMbassador before the Dominican Republic...

Fritz Coneas, thanked Dominican authorities for all the aid and support received by his country from our government, after the 7.0 Richter scale earthquake that affected his nation. “Mi expression of gratitude, my sincere thanks, I say this with great emotion” said the Haitian diplomat.“Once again, the Dominican Republic, has demostrated great solidarity” added Cineas with tears in his eyes, that stopped him from being able to continue and had to leave.The aid from the Dominican Republic was the first to arrive to Haiti after the disaster.The Dominican Government sent water, Mobile Dinning Facilities, Filed Hospitals and Doctors.  Also hundreds of the more seriously injured survivors are been moved to Dominican hospitals.Cineas said that at this momento is still imposible to assesed the number of dead as a consequence of the devastating earthquake. “It is still not posible to evaluate the dimensions of this catastrophe” expressed the Haitian embassy in the country.  

Authorities from the Haitian government have estimated the number of deaths at approximately 100 thousand.
