Golf
Since Pete Bye created the Teeth of the Dog nearly 30 years ago at Casa de Campo, the DR has been synonymous with world class golf.
Famous name courses challenge and inspire players across the island – and new ones by Tom Fazo, Nick Faldo and Jack Nicklaus are outstanding. The breathtaking 18th at P.B.
Dye’s La Cana Course in Punta Cana resembles the 18th at Pebble Beach. Eight ocean front holes grace Punta espada, Jack Nicklaus’ new Cap Cana signature course. In Juan Dolio, the 13th hole on Gary Player’s Guavaberry course is famous for its waterfall and two separate greens that are rotated daily to give players different perspectives. In the North, a highly ranked course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. awaits at the Playa Dorada tourist destination and resort area, with another Jones course at Playa Grande, about an hour drive from Playa Dorada.
