Rains generate more energy, as director of Indrhi
The government agencies grouped in the National Water Observatory said Wednesday that the Tavera complex of dams is under permanent monitoring to maintain its current level, to deal with the constant downpours over the Central Mountains.
Frank Rodriguez, director of the dams and canal agency (Indrhi) in Dominican Republic, said the measure was taken to maintain the normal energy levels of the Tavera-Bao-Lopez Angostura dams, the country’s biggest hydroelectric complex.
Rodriguez said the rains of the last few days had risen Tavera’s level sharply, which he affirms will benefit farmers, aqueducts, irrigation and electricity generation.
