Santo Domingo will have JW Marriott Hotel
The Venezuelan group Velutini will add a 15-story JW Marriott hotel as part of its Blue Mall shopping center, situated in the very heart of Santo Domingo.
The JW Marriott will be the first hotel built by this American company in the Caribbean region. In its first building stage, the facility will feature 121 suites.
The overall investment in this new structure is US$50 million.
The JW Marriott brand of luxury business hotels belongs to the US-based hotel chain Marriott. It operates hotels in Kuwait, Cairo, Bucharest, Shanghai, Phuket and Bangkok (Thailand), San Francisco and Chicago. The new hotel is schedule to open in late 2013.
