Onamet exhorts to avoid solar beams for the heat wave
The National Office of Meteorology (Onamet) recommended to the population to consume sufficient liquids, to dress clear clothes and to do exercises in the first hours of the day or of the night, as well as to avoid the direct exhibition to the Sun, especially between eleven o'clock in the morning and four o'clock in the afternoon, due to the stifling heat that concerns the national territory.
Likewise, it indicates that the wind of South-east component continues affecting on our country, dragging some cloudy cores loaded with dampness, which joined the local effects of convection and orography, they will give place to the occurrence of storms widely isolated with some thunderstorms towards the regions south-east, southwest, the frontier zone and the Central Mountain chain.
For the next 24 hours we will continue with few activity of rain, without rejecting the occurrence of storms widely isolated towards the regions before mentioned.
On the other hand, the Onamet informed that a tropical wave was located to the South-east of Puerto Rico by his major cloudy activity in waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Finally, on the Caribbean coast the fragile and small crafts must sail with precaution near the coastal perimeter without risking out to sea, due to wind and abnormal waves.
